Welcome to the 2012 SBS Olympics, today we launch our challenges with a nice easy challenge.  All you need do is create a project featuring an SBS image and a Party Theme, because our Olympics is all about fun, laughter, and spooky challenges.


To make the SBS Olympics as fair as possible we have a few rules for you to follow:
Create your project and take a pic.
Either leave unwatermarked or watermark with 'Team GB' or 'Team USA', whichever of the two teams you want to represent.
Then email your picture to sbsolympics2012@gmail.com
Please include your name and email addy for our records
The Team you are representing
The Event/Challenge that you card is to be entered into.

The picture of your project will then be added to a photo album on facebook, before being added to the Event/Challenge Blog Post using a linky tool.
Once all the Events/Challenges have closed, you will be able to vote for your favourite project from each Event/Challenge.
We ask that you do not vote for you own project, or solicit votes from friends or family for your project.  We want to keep the voting as fair as possible.
Voting closes on 11th August.
All winners will be announced in our Closing Ceremony Blog Post on the 12th August.
We would love it if you posted your projects on your personal blogs on the 12th August.

Winners for each event will received badges for their blogs stating the medal they won and for what event.

The 3 people who win the most daily events/challenge (or if their is a tie for daily events, has received the most individual votes) will be award the following prizes:

Overall Gold Medal Winner gets a discount code for 10% of purchases in the SBS Store for 1 year (excluding sale items, and shipping costs)

Overall Silver Medal Winner gets a discount code for 7% of purchases in the SBS Store for 1 year (excluding sale items, and shipping costs)

Overall Bronze Medal Winner gets a discount code for 5% of purchases in the SBS Store for 1 year (excluding sales items, and shipping costs).

We will also be announcing which Team has won the most medals.

Looking for summer

I think we are all looking for summer 

been spending alot of time at my craft desk ... not really crafting as such 

just making my craft desk tider and making it look better 

so i bought a brother p-touch it is one my best toy's this year

Just thought i would share a few cards 

This was made for a very close friend of mine who got married at the begining of july 

using a Mo manning image which you can find here 

using my yummy papers from That craft place and my trusty Pro Markers which you can also get from That craft place ... the giant flower has came from the bottom of my stash 

wanted to keep a vintage style with the card

Love using Jack this was a commissioned card 

a man connected me through facebook asking me to make this card for his daughters 

Sweet 16th birthday card ... i felt giddy making it for him 

its not very often i get people asking me to make them a card

ive used my pro markers again and making black clouds for a background 

loved using my corner cobweb which you can get Here

50 shades of grey 

Used all tied up from Saturated canary

and my new border die from memory dies which i bought from That Craft Place 

and i think its going to be on every card i make for the next year lol ...

kept it simply matt and layering and some ribbon and i found a pair of handcuff charms 

which just finishes the card off

Time for another challenge over at simply challenged challenges

I think sometimes its brilliant having a theme to go by and sometimes its not ..... i really struggled with this 

one not sure if i was getting the idea are not !!!!

Tried a twirly card as ive not done one in a long while and i still love the effect this card holds 

i'm waffling as always i think i like the sound of my own voice :) 

Pretty much used my trusty Pro Markers and some Nestabilities and some yummy flowers 

Here's my light side ...... made to look all pretty and cute 

 Then i did monochrome and made her look dark and sad

The Trilogy

The rule for this challenge is to use a minimum of 3 of the colours from the palette shown, use more if you wish & of coarse the addition of black & white is allowed!

The colours you choose can be plain colours or patterns or a mix of both, they don't have to be the exact colour match, as long as they are a similar hue or tone.

 These are the name tags underneath the colour combo chart
AQUA FOREST, BRANDY, CARISSMA, COMO, DEEP PINK, FRESH EGGPLANT, FUCHSIA, FUSCHIA, GREEN BLUE, GREEN BLUE, HARVEST GOLD, HOT PINK, MAGENTA, ORANGE, RED, SALMON, YELLOW ORANGE.

However for simplicity, I would suggest they are:
Sage green, Peppermint, Soft Coral, Warm beige, Warm pink & Rasberry

But, you decide :)
